Welcome to Fifth Grade
There are so many wonderful things you will be learning this year. I am very excited about this school year and looking forward to having you in our class.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I have lived in Texas my entire life and am proud to be called a “Texan”. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas in Psychology and my post-baccalaureate teaching certificate from Le Tourneau University in Austin. This will be my 13th year to teach in both private and public schools. I consider it a privilege and an honor to teach at Berkman Elementary School and look forward to being a Berkman “Bee”.
I have been married for over 20 years and have three children, a twenty year-old daughter, a sixteen year-old son, and an eight year-old son. In my spare time, I volunteer in children, youth, and homeless ministries and sing with the worship team at church. My family enjoys music, sports, traveling and many outdoor activities.
There are many different ways in which a child learns…it is my goal to offer every child varied learning experiences. Among many other things, you will be learning social skills, academic skills, and having experiences that will take you on your journey through life. I am honored to be a part of your journey.
Serving the Children,
Staci Berry
